The company is descended from Verreries du Courval and also Pochet DeRoche. Both companies had many years of experience in making glass and porcelain items. Their history in bottles started in 1856 when Empress Eugenie commissioned the first special bottle for a manufactured perfume: it was the work of Verreries du Courval in Paris.
